Bah, I hate summer. Still having trouble sleeping at night as well, although I've got no problem sleeping during the day, which is very annoying. If our entire summer's going to be as life-drainingly hot as it's been so far however, it may actually be a good idea to sleep during the day.
Uni's over, and has been over for a few weeks, but I've been extraordinarily lazy lately. What I've *have* been doing:
- Finished the novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, and absolutely loved it. Now I get to join the hoards of irritable fans waiting for the next instalment.
- Playing Nocturne. Actually, nearly finished Nocturne. ( thoughts )
- Horrible Turk fanart attempt GO! No matter what I do, I still struggle with linework. I've also gone back to using references for body poses instead of trying to fudge it purely on my own, which looks nice in pencil but doesn't really translate well to digital form.
- Catching up on purchasing my FMA manga. I quite like CY's translations. Even if they still do silly stuff like refer to Grumman as Garand, they do some useful stuff too like refer to 'Rasayana' as an elixir that grants immortality rather than a herb.
Still, manga artwork is always much prettier in print form rather than scan form, and I find my understanding of canon is enhanced. Somehow I'd missed the fact that [uh, spoiler for those not up to date with Xerxes] the flask homunculus was originally created with a drop of Hoho's blood. Makes much more sense now. :)
Uni doesn't go back until the beginning of March next year, I think, so I've got plenty of time to do and learn and practice all sorts of things I've been meaning to get around to. Finding the energy to do so, however, continues to be a challenge.
P.S. Thank you
