Oh yeah, it's one of those New Year things...  
Meant to update with some resolutions or something, but I've been a depressed crankypuss lately. Six days straight of babysitting your younger brothers while your parents are in Hong Kong will do that to a person.

2008 was a bit of a write-off for me, although I managed to get a taste of what it would finally be like to be an independent adult.

This year I've applied to enrol in an IT course at university. I plan to major in web development and get a job coding websites, but I'm hoping that I'll get enough generic database skills to be able to easily get a decent job. I know it covers all the web stuff plus Visual Basic, sql and ASP, but I'm not sure about ORACLE. I don't think it does. ;_;

Anyhoos, I'll find out on the 22nd if I get in. Then maybe in three years time I'll finally be able to get a decent job and move out of home before I'm 30. *headtank*

I haven't been accepted to anything yet, although I've been told it shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks for the support! I figure I've been working and struggling long enough, I deserve a decent job eventually. XD

You really do deserve a FANTASTIC job, actually. No one should have to be at a job they don't love, but you in particular deserve something you really enjoy. I think everyone deserves that, but... you in particular. :)

I think that's fantastic that you're going for some training. I really see good things for you. I feel as though you're an extremely talented, insightful individual. Of course, I like you, but still, I don't think I'm wrong.

I would say please don't be depressed, you know, because I hate to see people I like depressed, but sometimes it's good for us to be depressed I think. Right? I would blame winter, but I think your reasons are probably more valid, huh? :) In the northern hemisphere, blaming winter is the rage. :) Well, for me at least. I'm just glad when it's not windy, nevermind above zero degrees F! Combine wind and that kind of cold, and I shake my fist and ask my ancestors what possessed them to spread seed in such a place.

But... it can be rather nice in the 6 months it's not freezing... Of course then there are mosquitoes...

It's the middle of summer here, so I can't really blame the weather. ^^;
